My Memory Bears

It's really simple, but please ensure clothing etc is clean!:

• You should provide clothing that reflects the character you wish to remember - decide whether you want to recreate a special event, a hobby, a lifetime career etc. Typically 2 or 3 items are sufficient and I am quite creative (trousers can be turned into jackets!!)
• Do you wish to include accessories that will recall memories; a necklace, brooch, watch, favourite book title, glasses etc?
• Please complete the Questionnaire I send you - it guides you through how I create your memory bear and helps to ensure you're completely satisfied.
• Package all your items securely and post them - I would suggest that you insure these as I cannot be held liable for any loss. Please discuss with me before sending valuable accessories as I will usually try to avoid you doing this and help you accessorize your bear at home.

On receipt, I will contact you to discuss the best approach to creating your memory bear.  I have made many bears and I'm happy to use my experience to explain how I can best create your individual bear.

Clothing will be cut, and outfits take a surprising amount of material to create, but any larger pieces remaining can be returned if requested.  I treat all items with complete respect as I understand these are treasured possessions

I certainly will!  I understand how important My Memory Bears are and I will email you at various stages of their creation.

Lead times vary although I usually quote 4-8 weeks from receipt of your items.

Bears are returned, gift packed and placed in a recycleable box.  I always track my return packages to ensure safe receipt.

You are paying for the service of creating a very special bear outfit and memory.  I provide a complimentary 40cm brand new bear so I can ensure the level of quality I want to provide.  Costs, excluding P&P, start from £55.  More complex creations, or multiple layers, additional accessories etc. will increase the cost but I will always advise you of these before I start.

Typically these are around £9.00 for Tracked 48hr delivery for one bear, with a sliding scale for multiple bears.

Payment is via Bank Transfer (preferred) or Paypal.  50% of the cost is payable before work commences, and the balance is payable before the completed bear is returned to you.  

All items are individually made to order, consequently I am unable to refund any monies.  I do want you to be completely satisfied though, and if you should have any cause for concern, please simply contact me to chat about this.

Please note that My Memory Bears are not toys, and therefore not intended for children under 14 due to small parts which may be considered a choking hazard. These bears are intended for decorative use only.

I never used to take photos as I always felt these were very personal items that people may not want to share.  However, after much feedback, I now take pictures of the clothes I start with, pictures as I progress, and on completion.  I'm happy to send these to you.  And it's always wonderful if you are happy for me to put pictures on my website/social media - I will never disclose the names of customers

Due to import/export taxes etc. I'm currently only providing services within the UK and unable to send bears overseas.
